A List of Things To Do collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting services, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The app has no server to send anything to.

Your tasks

Your lists, tasks and notes are stored on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud, they also sync through your own private iCloud database, so they appear on your other devices.

That database belongs to your Apple Account. Apple gives app developers no access to the data in anyone's private iCloud database, so we cannot read, recover or restore your tasks — not in a console, not ever. The copies on your devices and in your iCloud are the only ones that exist.

In Settings you can switch the app to This device only. In that mode nothing is sent to iCloud at all, and your tasks stay on that one device.

The one request that isn't iCloud

The optional Random background downloads one photo a day from Lorem Picsum, which serves photos from Unsplash. The request asks for that day's photo and includes nothing about you or your tasks. Like any web request, it reaches their servers from your internet connection, so they can see your IP address, as any website you visit can. To avoid the request entirely, choose a Photo, an Album or no background in Settings.

Your photos

Choosing a Photo or Album background reads the photo or album you pick, and only that. Photos are shown on your device and are never uploaded or synced anywhere by this app.

Deleting your data

• Deleting a task removes it from every synced device. The app keeps it hidden for 30 days and then removes it for good.
• Deleting the app removes the copy on that device.
• To remove everything from iCloud: on iPhone or iPad, Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage › A List. On a Mac, System Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage › A List. This removes it for every device.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
